“Bird and Wildlife Team were recommended by two friends, both with extensive experience of birding in the Oriental region. We booked a 17 day private tour which allowed us to catch up with all the birds we wanted to see plus five Leopard sightings in Wilpattu NP and a Sloth Bear that walked around our vehicle with nobody else in sight. Pied Thrush was high on my wanted list and Victoria Park came up trumps with two males in a rather grungy ditch. Make sure you visit Bundala in the south, which to my mind was better than Yala for birds, although Yala did provide Black-necked Stork dancing in the shallows. Everything worked really well, from the transport to the hotels to the owl-finders who led us to Serendib Scops-owl on our last day. Thanks to Gayan, who was a most able, friendly and knowledgeable guide. Visit when you can.”
Best wishes
