2006 / 2007 season
Sri Lanka

15 day tour –Avian Adventures , similar to tour #1, led by Uditha Hettige, Tim and Irene Loseby, from 11 to 24 March 2006 .
Birds : Total of 249 species recorded including superb views of all 33 endemics. Highlights were seeing roosting female Serendib Scops-owl and pair of Chesnut-backed Owlet in the day time, and Ceylon Frogmouth.
Mammals : 23 species including two Leopards.
Reptiles : 16 species
Butterflies : 45 species.
Dragonflies and damselflies 27 species.

14 day tour –Sunbird tour, similar to tour #1, led by Uditha Hettige and Paul Holt, from 04 March to 17 March 2006 .
Birds : Over 240 species including all endemics. Highlights were seeing roosting male Serendib Scops-owl and pair of Chesnut-backed Owlet in the day time .
Mammals : 21 species.

3 day tour – Gunnar Pettersson and group, led by Lester Perera from 14th to 16th February 2006.

Birds : Lowland endemics including two Serendib Scops Owls and two Chestnut-backed Owlets . Also two Ceylon Bay Owls and Brown Hawk Owl.

14 day tour – Ornitholidays tour, similar to tour #1, led by Deepal Warakagoda and Tony Pym, from 16 to 30 January 2007
Birds : Total of 233 species recorded including superb views of 32 endemics. Highlights were seeing roosting Ceylon Bay Owl, male Serendib Scops-owl, pair of Chesnut-backed Owlet and pair of Ceylon Frogmouth, in the day time.
Mammals : 17 species including the Sloth Bear.

Reptiles : 11 species.

Birds : 217 species of birds including three Mottled Wood Owls and two pairs of Ceylon Frogmouths at day time roosts

04 day special leopard tour April 2006
17 sightings of Leopards in four days, this is the highest number of animals observed on one tour. Also one Bear observed.

Butterflies : 34 species

10 day tour – a 4 pax tour, similar to tour # 4, led by Deepal Warakagoda, from 23 March to 2 April 2006 .
Birds : endemics including the Serendib Scops-owl.

20 day tour – John Wickam tour, similar to tour #1 (Extended), led by Uditha Hettige, from 03 to 23 Mrch 2006.
Birds : 231 species of birds were seen and endemics including the Serendib Scops-owl (which was photograph by the leader).
Mammals : 31 species including the Leopard.
Reptiles : 35 species (05 species of snakes and 30 species of tetrapoad reptiles).
Butterflies : 85 species.
Freshwater fish : 14 species.
Freshwater crabs : 05 species.
Dragonflies and Damselflies : 21 species.
Wild Orchids : 8 species.
